How do absorption panels work?
In this article we look how absorber panels work, specifically, the Hush Absorber 50 and 50A.
These are class A Absorber panels that have been specially formulated using a 50mm acoustic foam and hand finished with interior fabric. Manufactured in our warehouse in Liverpool, these products are designed to eliminate echoes and reverberation noise within spaces.
When would Hush Absorber 50/50A be specified?
Hush Absorber 50 and 50A panels are used to reduce reverberation noise and echoes within a multitude of situations. Typically, our absorber panels are specified within the education sector or within offices where noise levels can be high, such as; classrooms, multi-purpose halls or call centres and board rooms. They are also ideal for use within any other area with reverberation or echo acoustic concerns.
What is the difference between Hush Absorber 50 and 50A?
Both Hush Absorber 50 & 50A are Class A absorber panels and both tackle reverberation and echo noise within the area of concern.
The difference between them is that Hush Absorber 50 is directly bonded using the Hush 50 Absorber Adhesive, whereas the Hush Absorber 50A are suspended using the Hush suspending packs or wall brackets.
The benefit of the Hush Absorber 50 option is that it is the most economical way to install the panels to a ceiling or wall. Being bonded directly, they are tightly fitted, the appearance of which, some clients prefer.
An advantage of using the Hush Absorber 50A panels is that they gain a slightly better acoustic performance due to the added airspace and can be easily removed for decorating or maintenance works, along with having a bit more flexibility in where they can be installed.
Either panels can be installed on any alignment or angle, including slopes, and can be fitted in both a portrait or landscape orientation.
What are the other benefits of Hush Absorber Panels?
With Class A acoustic performance, simple and clean installation, with no need for drilling, these absorber panels are stylish, versatile and available in a wide range of fabric colours.
The ability to choose the size, colour, shape and the finish, makes these panels appealing to all and will not only make your area acoustically friendly but will look great as well. We are able to provide bespoke sizing, which includes the thickness of the panel and so they really can be suited to your environment.
There is also the option of choosing the flame retardancy of the fabric, which is available in Class 1 – 0.
