Product Data

Dressed down the sides of timber joists and across the back of the Ceiling 1200mm wide x 50m long --- total 60m2 per roll
  • Creates a one hour fire resistance used in conjunction with Hush-Slab 100 within a timber joisted separating floor
  • Ideal for use above lath and plaster ceilings or where work can only be carried out from above
  • Compatible with a range of Hush-Systems, designed to exceed the current Building Regulation requirements of Part E (England and Wales), Part H (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland).

Working at 90 degrees to the direction of the joists, roll out the first length of firewire and start to form trays by dressing it down the side of the first joist, across the back of the ceiling, up the side and over the top of the next joist. Continue forming trays across the widths of the joist span, overlapping the edges of each row, ensuring there are no gaps. Fix the firewire to the sides and tops of the joists using 16mm staples or similar.
