Hush-Bar Plus system has been designed as an advanced resilient bar and clip system used to further optimise acoustic performance by mechanical decoupling and creating a more flexible ceiling, whilst being able to support heavier ceiling boards. Increased airborne and impact sound protection is provided, achieving excellent results when used to suspend a ceiling as part of a sound insulation system between separating floors.

1. Ensure joists are level and install the Hush-Bars at 90 degrees to the joists, mounting sufficient spring clips on to each bar to enable the bars to be fixed to joists at 450mm centres.
2. Screw fix the first clip, then slide the next clips along the bar into the required position and secure with the screws supplied. During progression install the connecting sleeves ensuring that an equal amount of sleeve covers each side of the joint.
3. Leave a minimum gap of 15mm at the end of the bar runs and ensure that perimeter bars do not contact the walls.
4. Fix two layers of specified plasterboard to the bars using self drilling drywall screws, staggering all joints and sealing all perimeters with gyproc sealant prior to skimming. Do not allow screws to penetrate in to anything other than the resilient bar.
Full fitting instructions are supplied with all products and are available to download from the Installation Guides section.
