Hush batten Cradles have been designed as a timber batten support with an infinitely adjustable thread, allowing for precise levelling across uneven sub-floors, when upgrading/adding acoustic performance to separating floors. Used within both new build and refurbishment projects Hush-Cradles can help correct discrepancies in concrete and timber floors, without the use of fiddly packers and are ideal for creating a service void as part of a sound insulation system.

- Rapid installation time
1. Set out the cradles at the required centres and install the battens with the joins directly over a cradle. Allow for perimeter cradles/battens at the ends of the batten runs. All perimeter cradles/battens must be isolated from the walls by at least 25mm.
2. Levelling is carried out by adjusting the 'O' support ring up and down the threads, as required. Lock by turning the carrier upstands against the battens.
3. When planning the floor layout leave a 10-15mm expansion gap around all perimeters, fix the flooring to the battens using a generous amount of Hush-Bond Panel Adhesive and secure with ring nails or screws. At the same time the flooring boards should be glued at all teegee joints board to board.
4. Press Hush-Seal 20 Perimeter Seal into the perimeter expansion gapensuring that the floor floats freely of the walls maintaining acoustic isolation or use perimeter detail as per Robust Detail instructions using Hush-RD Flanking Strip.
