Suitable for:
Hush Acoustic Infills are manufactured from high-density acoustic foam laminated with a protective tissue facing. They are designed to drop directly into standard ceiling grid systems, replacing or supplementing conventional ceiling tiles. Once installed, they reduce echo and reverberation within large open spaces, contributing to improved comfort and speech intelligibility. The infills are lightweight, easy to handle, and can be combined with other Hush acoustic systems for enhanced sound control.
For advice on the use of Hush Acoustic Infills for Roofing, as part of a system within any project, please contact our experienced technical team on 0151 933 2026 who will be happy to give comprehensive and practical advice to meet with your requirements.
The mineral wool slabs used in the production of Hush Acoustic Infills are non-combustible to BS476: part 4: (1984).
The use of Hush Acoustic Infills can contribute towards the satisfaction of a requirement for a ceiling with Class C acoustic absorption. See Approved Document E (England & Wales) and Building Bulletin 93 (The Acoustic Design of Schools) for guidance.
The Hush Infills also help achieve performance criteria within Section 5 of the Scottish Building Standards (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland)
Hush Acoustic Infills are normally supplied on polyethene wrapped pallets. Protective weather hoods are included where requested.
The Infills are installed directly into the upper trough of the profiled roofing sheet. All joints should be tightly butted and, where necessary, lengths can be trimmed using a sharp knife or a finely serrated saw.
Full fitting instructions are supplied with all products and are available to download from the Installation Guides section.
