The Hush Acoustic Batten 55 System MF combines resilient 55mm acoustic battens with a metal frame (MF) suspended ceiling to achieve excellent airborne and impact sound insulation. This complete floor and ceiling system is designed to meet Part E of the Building Regulations, making it a reliable choice for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. The system provides a service void within the floor construction while also delivering robust acoustic separation through the MF ceiling below.

• Hush Acoustic Batten 55 with resilient layer.
• Floating floor deck (e.g. chipboard, plywood, or Hush Panel).
• Acoustic insulation between battens.
• Metal Frame (MF) suspended ceiling system.
• Perimeter isolation strips and acoustic sealant to prevent flanking.

Installation Guidance

• Lay Hush Acoustic Battens over the structural floor in staggered rows.
• Install insulation tightly between battens and position services within the void if required.
• Fix the floating floor deck securely to battens, maintaining perimeter isolation.
• Construct an MF suspended ceiling to the specified centres, adding insulation to the void as detailed.
