A complete acoustic batten system designed to provide excellent airborne and impact sound insulation while meeting Part E compliance. Ideal for new build and refurbishment projects where robust acoustic performance and a service void are required.

The HD1015 Hush Batten 55 System BB uses resilient acoustic battens combined with a floating floor finish to create a complete separation system.

This build-up not only delivers outstanding sound insulation performance but also provides a service void beneath the floor, making it ideal for housing services and underfloor heating systems. Tested to Approved Document E standards, it is widely specified in both residential and commercial developments.

System Materials

• Hush Batten 55 (acoustic batten with resilient layer).
• Floating floor deck (chipboard, plywood, or Hush Panel).
• Acoustic insulation between battens.
• Optional underfloor heating pipework within service void.

Installation Guidance

• Lay Hush Batten 55 directly over the structural subfloor in staggered rows.
• Install insulation between battens and position services/UFH pipework as required.
• Fix floating floor deck (e.g. Hush Panel) securely to battens, maintaining isolation.
