The Hush System 1 (HD1006) is designed for timber floors using timber joists. This system exceeds UK building regulations Approved Document E. Our acoustic timber floor systems are perfect for both new builds and refurbishment projects.
This system is a fantastic case study illustrating how you can use various acoustic materials to get the ultimate sound reduction on timber floors.
- Hush-Felt 25 Resilient Strip stapled to joist tops, with 18mm tongue and groove flooring grade chipboard glued above using Hush-Bond, with all perimeters sealed using Hush-Seal 20.
- Hush-Mesh Firewire dressed down the sides of the joists and across the back of the ceiling in the form of trays.
- Hush-Slab 100 fitted between the joists resting on the firewire tray.
- Hush-Fill 60 on a 9mm plywood shelf between the joists.
