The Hush System BB is a robust separating floor and ceiling solution designed for beam and block concrete structures. It combines the proven performance of Hush-Panel 28 with resilient acoustic sealing and a suspended ceiling treatment to achieve Part E compliance. The system provides effective airborne and impact sound reduction by using dense flooring over screed, absorptive infill, and plasterboard ceilings. Suitable for new build housing, residential developments, and commercial projects, the Hush System BB is versatile and reliable, with options to upgrade the ceiling treatment where enhanced acoustic performance or specific fire resistance is required.

System Components

• Hush-Panel 28 acoustic flooring (all T&G joints glued with Hush-Bond Adhesive).
• Hush-Seal 20 Acoustic Sealant applied to all perimeters.
• 50mm screed laid over beam and block floor (260 kg/m²).
• Timber battens fixed to the underside of the concrete at required centres.
• Ceiling lining of one 12.5mm Gyproc Soundbloc or Fireline plasterboard board.

Installation Guidance

• Lay Hush-Panel 28 over a 50mm screed, gluing all T&G joints with Hush-Bond Adhesive.
• Seal all flooring perimeters with Hush-Seal 20 Acoustic Sealant.
• Ensure the beam and block structure is at least 260 kg/m² density.
• Fix timber battens to the underside of the concrete at required centres.
• Secure one layer of 12.5mm Gyproc Soundbloc or Fireline plasterboard to the battens.
• Seal all ceiling perimeters before skim finishing.
• Upgrade ceiling treatment if required, depending on overall structure density.
