The Hush System HF25 is a reliable separating floor and ceiling build‑up that combines resilient strips, acoustic infill, and high‑density floor decking with an isolated ceiling system. Designed to achieve Part E compliance, it reduces both airborne and impact sound transmission in timber structures, making it ideal for residential, student living, and refurbishment projects. An advanced version of this system is also available for higher acoustic performance.

System Components

• Hush-Felt 25 Resilient Strip stapled to the tops of joists.
• 18mm flooring grade chipboard glued with Hush-Bond Adhesive.
• Hush-Seal 20 Acoustic Sealant applied to all perimeters.
• Hush-Slab 100 Sound Absorber fitted tightly between joists.
• Hush-Bar Plus System screw fixed to underside of joists at 450mm centres.
• Ceiling lining of one 19mm plasterboard plank plus one 12.5mm Gyproc Soundbloc plasterboard.

Installation Guidance

• Staple Hush-Felt 25 Resilient Strips to the joist tops.
• Lay 18mm flooring grade chipboard over joists, gluing all T&G joints with Hush-Bond Adhesive.
• Seal all perimeters with Hush-Seal 20 Acoustic Sealant.
• Fit Hush-Slab 100 tightly between joists with no air gaps.
• Fix Hush-Bar Plus System to the underside of joists at 450mm centres.
• Secure one layer of 19mm plasterboard plank and one layer of 12.5mm Gyproc Soundbloc to the Hush-Bars.
• Seal perimeters thoroughly before skim finishing to maintain acoustic integrity.
