The Hush System LC Plus is a high-performance separating floor and ceiling system designed for timber joist constructions. Combining Hush-Panel 28 with resilient plasterboard planks and a suspended MF ceiling, it delivers excellent airborne and impact sound insulation while achieving Part E compliance. With a generous ceiling void and dense acoustic components, this system is widely used in residential apartments, student housing, and commercial buildings where superior noise control is essential.

System Components

• Hush-Panel 28 acoustic flooring panels.
• Hush-Bond Adhesive for gluing all T&G panel joints.
• Hush-Seal 20 Acoustic Sealant for perimeter isolation.
• 19mm plasterboard plank spot bonded to the structural deck and sealed at perimeters.
• MF Ceiling System suspended from joists with 350mm void (underside of joists to back of plasterboard).
• Hush Slab 100 Sound Absorber installed within ceiling void.
• Ceiling finish: 1 × 19mm plasterboard plank + 1 × 12.5mm Soundbloc plasterboard.

Installation Guidance

• Lay Hush-Panel 28 over 19mm plasterboard plank, gluing all T&G joints with Hush-Bond Adhesive.
• Seal all perimeters of the floor using Hush-Seal 20 Acoustic Sealant.
• Spot bond plasterboard plank to the structural deck and seal perimeters with Hush Acoustic Sealant.
• Install MF Ceiling System suspended from underside of joists, creating a 350mm void (underside of joists to back of plasterboard).
• Fit Hush Slab 100 tightly within the MF ceiling void.
• Fix one layer of 19mm plasterboard plank and one layer of 12.5mm Soundbloc plasterboard to the MF framework.
• Seal ceiling perimeters with Hush Acoustic Sealant prior to skimming.
