Code for Sustainable Homes

Have you heard about the Code for Sustainable Homes? For those of you who don’t know, the sound insulation between separating floors comes under the category of health and well-being. If you don’t meet the Code here at Hush UK we can help. If you do meet the Code you may be pleased to know that credits are awarded if you achieve higher standards than those required by Approved Document E and Building Regulations.

If you would like to know how you go about achieving higher standards than is required here at Hush we can also help.

About the Code for Sustainable Homes

The Code for Sustainable Homes is the national standard FOR sustainable design and construction of new homes. The purpose of the Code is to reduce our carbon emissions and create homes that are more sustainable.

The current Code works on a star rating system, from one to six, which is used to tell YOU the overall sustainability performance of a new home.
